Course Description

Statistics: An Introduction for Beginners” is a course specifically designed for students who desire a basic working knowledge of statistics. The basic ideas of descriptive statistical methods are presented, including frequency distribution, measures of location and variation. The course also includes permutation, combination and rules of probability, together with well-known probability distributions such as binomial, Poisson, geometric, hyper-geometric and multinomial. Other topics include data comparison and analysis of variance.
